How We Started

Nick Petitti and Tim Canavan purchased Richard’s Deli in 2020. Being longtime neighbors and friends of Vinnie DeGennaro it seemed only natural that they would take over the deli when the time came. Nick & Tim have been business owners in the Long Branch community since 2007 when they purchased the restaurant next door. With their love of family and great food the pair decided to revamp the deli menu and make Richards a place for families to grab a relaxing bite to eat.
They have big plans for this amazing deli spot and are excited to bring their vision to the community. The revamped menu highlights some of the staples that Richard’s is well known for but also introduces guests to new signatures sandwiches, wraps, panini, salads and homemade soups. Their new breakfast menu is serving all the classics from omelets & eggs benedict to pancakes & French toast. Nick & Tim pride themselves on their fresh to order kitchen and only serve the finest quality meats. They live by the motto, “If we wouldn’t serve it to our family, we won’t serve it to yours!”
